Why did you choose your wedding venue?

We wanted a venue where we could have both our ceremony and reception so that we could enjoy the entire night at one location. We fell in love with the indoor and outdoor space that Mooreland Mansion provided. The mansion was so unique to other venues and the different garden locations on the property were gorgeous not only for pictures but for our guests to roam during cocktail hour. The rose garden was a dream location to have our ceremony and dancing under the stars outside was so amazing.

Did you have a specific wedding theme in mind?

I wouldn’t say I had a theme but my goal was to make our day classic and timeless! I went with black, gold, ivory, and greenery… I wanted to look back at my wedding when I am 90 and still love the colors, outfits, and decor!

What are some of your favorite wedding details?

I loved our antique gold mirrors for the welcome sign and seating chart as well as our flower wall! I also loved the black dresses and tuxes which I thought paired perfectly with the elegant architecture and landscape of the venue.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

A thousand years

What song played for your first dance?

Lifetime by Justin Bieber

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Starting our life together! We recently bought a house and are just moving in. We can’t wait to be settled, get a dog, have kids, and make more memories together.

What was your favorite of your wedding day?

Mark’s favorite was when I finally made it down the aisle.

My favorite was our vows during the ceremony! It was so special and felt like it was just the two of us up there affirming our love.

Is there anything you wish you did for your wedding that you were not able to do?

Everything at our wedding was perfect! The only thing I wish we did was to ask the catering company to pack up our meals, some of the apps, and late-night snacks so we could eat at the hotel. There is so much going on and your adrenaline is rushing – neither of us got to try all of our food!

What advice would you give to newly engaged couples for planning their weddings?

Wedding planning can be stressful but everything will come together in the end. Choose vendors that you trust and can take the stress off of you!

What was your experience like having Drzazga Photo photograph your wedding?

We couldn’t have asked for better photographers!! Drzazga captured our day perfectly and was extremely helpful and sweet throughout the process. We love every single one of our engagement and wedding pictures and couldn’t recommend them enough.
