The Right Fit & Initial Consultation:

We believe in working with couples who truly value the art of photography and want a team that will support the hell out of them! So once you’ve checked out our website and portfolio and think to yourselves “Yes! This is the team we want!”, you fill out our contact form, and we can set up a call or meet either virtually or at our studio, Sixth City Studio, located in Downtown Cleveland, which is the perfect place for us to get to know each other better if you’re in town!

We want to make sure we are a good fit, that our personalities will work well together, that we can give you what you need, and understand your vision for your wedding day. 

Though we don’t require a call or meeting, we always encourage you to take this step because it’s important to know we can work well together, plus it gives you the chance to ask all your questions before committing!

Ready to Book:

Once your questions are answered and you’re ready to book we will send you a link to your client portal which keeps all of your documents organized in one place. In your portal, you’ll find your contract, invoice, questionnaires, and print release. From there you’ll have time to ask questions and clarify so that you feel confident and comfortable working with us. Then you sign on that dotted line, make your payment, and are booked!

After Booking:

Once you secure your wedding date with your signed contract and retainer payment, we’ll send you an informative email outlining what you can expect in the coming months. We’ll remind you about the questionnaires that will be sent your way, explaining their purpose, how we will show up for you, turnaround times for your photos, etc. Throughout the entire process, we will encourage you to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have and check in regularly with you.

Vendor Recommendation Email:

To assist you in creating your dream wedding, we provide vendor recommendations for both Ohio and Pittsburgh if you are looking for insights and help. We have worked with a large network of talented professionals who share our commitment to excellence, and we’re delighted to share their contact information with you. So, throughout the process, if you find it difficult to choose or don’t know where to start, we can help!

Engagement Session Planning:

Engagements Sessions are a fantastic opportunity for us to connect on a deeper level. We’ll spend time getting to know you as a couple, learn how to work with each other, and help you become comfortable with the photography process and being in front of the camera. 

We’ll provide you with an Engagement Session Questionnaire, allowing us to get to know you better and curate a personalized experience. This questionnaire also addresses location preferences meaningful to you and we provide outfit inspiration to help you feel your best on this special day.

Bonus: we’re not limited to local spots! We also offer destination engagement sessions. From finding the perfect location to assisting with travel arrangements, we’re here to make it easy for you to focus on each other, the experience, and the beauty around you while enjoying this incredible time.

There is plenty going on for you leading up to your big day which can feel overwhelming but we will be supporting and guiding you up to and through your day! • Timeline Tips for a Smooth Wedding Day: We understand that planning your wedding day timeline can feel overwhelming and we alleviate all that stress by offering valuable guidance and tips on when to schedule the ceremony, when the lighting will be optimal for photos, and how much time to allocate for photography during each part of the day. We also provide a link to a detailed blog post that further explains the duration required for different types of portraits, such as family, couple, and wedding party shots and we offer practical suggestions so your day runs smoothly, including valuable insights you might not have considered.

• First Look Considerations: We understand that deciding whether or not to have a first look can be a significant choice for many couples. We’ll provide you with considerations and insights to help you make an informed decision that aligns with your preferences and vision for the day.

• Stress-Free Wedding Morning: We want your wedding morning to be as stress-free as possible. We’ll offer helpful tips and suggestions to encourage a calm and enjoyable start to your day, setting the tone for an unforgettable celebration.

• Special Requests: If you’ve got something unique you want to be photographed, have an interesting or unusual request, or just need us to handle difficult situations, we will help you plan ahead so that you can focus on other details and each other on your wedding day! As you are filling out questionnaires and we are helping you prepare, we will make sure we have everything exactly how you dreamed it would be.
  

The Big Day: Documenting Your Love from Start to Finish

As your wedding day approaches, we want you to feel confident and excited about what lies ahead. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect on the day and how we work with you:

• Morning Preparations: We’ll start the day by capturing detail photos and flat lays, ensuring every special element is beautifully documented while you are getting ready. We’ll guide you with posing and make sure you’re in the best light for stunning photos as you prepare for the ceremony and get ready with friends and family. Some photographers follow a purely documentary style, but we believe in finding the perfect balance between candid moments and intentional posing to create the best images and story possible.

• Ceremony: Our goal during your ceremony is to be as unobtrusive as possible, blending seamlessly into the background while finding all the tiny moments between you and your partner, along with candids of your parents, wedding party, and guests. We’ll capture the essence of your union, allowing you to relive those heartfelt memories for years to come.

• Family Photos: We understand the importance of family, and we come prepared with a curated list that you collaborated with us on, to manage this time efficiently. Our aim is to capture these precious memories swiftly, so you can get to the celebrations, food, and fun!

• Wedding Party and Couple Portraits: We’ll work closely with you and your wedding party, guiding you through flattering and fun poses while keeping things moving along. Our priority here is to capture your unique love story and have a blast doing it. Of course, we want you to have plenty of time to enjoy each other’s company and celebrate with your guests, BUT our main focus during this time is having fun together and getting all of your photos before the real party starts!

• Reception: During this lively part of the day, we adopt a more documentary-style approach, capturing the joy and excitement that unfolds naturally. Depending on your preferences, we’re also happy to assist with additional tasks, such as bustling the dress or providing guidance for special moments like cutting the cake. And it has to be said – that we will go above and beyond for you – if we see you need help with something or we can help in any way, we are all in. We are great at anticipating your needs!

Photo Edits and Delivery:

After the wedding, while you are coming down from the high of an incredible wedding, we are working behind the scenes editing and going through the photos we took, making sure everything looks seamless and tells the whole day from start to finish. In most cases you can expect your engagement photos within 2 weeks and your wedding photos within 12, all per the contract we set up with you, of course!
